FIELD HEATING TECHNOLOGY
The football field heating system is necessary, according to UEFA's recommendations, for stadiums where
hold UEFA-sponsored competitions and for stadiums that are used for playing in the winter and training.
The football field heating system must provide:
-
Maintaining the temperature of the playing field for the cold period of the year when the outside air temperature is up to -15˚C
-
Extending the exploitation of the football field
-
Stimulation of grass growth and shortening its recovery after games, training and cultural events in the cold period of the year
-
Quick return to normal after a break
-
Snow melting
Classification of types of field heating:
-
Electrical,
-
Water.

Before deciding what kind of heating will be done in the stadium, it is necessary to see the difference between water heating and electric heating.
Field heating with hot water
Field heating with heating cables
Number of heating zones
One zone
The football field is fully heated.
Minimum four zones
Only 1/4 of the stadium can be heated.
The possibility of accidents on the football field
Može doći do pucanja cevke
-
-
Pesak i trava se kontaminiraju minimalno prečnik 12m
-
Potrebno je promeniti pesak i busen
Trošak otklanjanje kvara je:
-
Teren sa prirodnom travom 50 do 70 €/m2 ( 6.000 do 8.400 € )
-
Teren sa hibridnom travom 90 do 120 €/m2 ( 10.800 do 14.400 €
The cable may break.
When the cable is damaged, the fuse on the automation cabinet automatically cuts off the power supply only on that cable
Signaling indicates which cable is damaged
No heating interruptions
The break point is easy to detect. In European stadiums, repairs are made at the end of the season.
Sand and grass are not contaminated and do not need to be changed
The cost of repairing the fault is:
Field with natural grass €1,000 per place
Field with hybrid grass €1,000 per place
Izvor toplote
The source of heat for new stadiums cannot be solid fuel and gas boilers, because they require chimneys that spoil the appearance of the stadium's facade.
The source of heat can be boiler rooms with electricity, heat pumps, as well as connection to the heat pipe
The connection is made at the existing substation

Investment price
Water heating with gas boiler and hot water €330,000 to €350,000
Water heating with heat pumps €400,000 to €450,000
180.000 do 200.000 €
Installation lifespan
According to UEFA standards, the drainage is changed every 15 years, and therefore the heating cables on the football field are changed
